Department of Transport Management to annual 2,500 driving licenses

The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has said that it will be annulling over 2,500 driving licenses issued from different transport management offices. The Department of Transport Management said that the driving licenses issued based on duplicate documents without taking part in written and trial examinations will be annulled.

The transport management offices in Kathmandu, in the last one year, have distributed over 3,000 driving licenses as equivalent for those holding driving licenses of foreign countries. And among them, some ninety percentages are said to be made by providing fake documents. The Department of Transport Management added all those driving licenses will be annulled.

Director General at the Department of Transport Management, Rup Narayan Bhattarai, talking with an online portal said that all such driving licenses will be scrapped and those providing and receiving driving licenses being based on fake documents will face action.
