A school boy, who had gone missing in the jungle for more than a week, is now recovering at his house. John Tamang had got lost while hiking around Phulchoki hills was found inside the jungle in Phulchoki. Tamang was found after seven days by his relatives in the Jungle of Phulchoki that lies just above the Godawari. It lies 11km east from Kathmandu.
After he was found, the boy was rushed to B & B Hospital in the Capital City where he was treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. He has been discharged and is now recovering at his own house.
The 17-year-old Tamang who studies at Ajaya Shiksha Sadan at local Thasikhel had been missing since January 25. All the three security bodies – Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and the Nepal Army – had been carrying out a search for him.
In an interview, he has recalled his memories of the days he had spent his days and nights in the jungle in the chilling cold. He also told that he had seen a tiger cub. Watch the video for full information.
